Dr. Saad Saad is a successful pediatric surgeon located in Eatontown, New Jersey. He is a role model to many as he had humble beginnings but went on to accomplish many great things in his life. One accomplishment followed another. That is the best way to describe Dr. Saad’s life. Dr. Saad was born in Palestine. He was raised there as a child until one day his mother received a call that she needed to take her family to board a bus. No one knew where the bus was headed or that they would never be coming home. That was the beginning of the Jewish Diaspora for them. His father was on his way to work at the time. He later had to take a boat ride across the river to be reunited with them.
Dr. Saad’s father was a gifted petroleum engineer. This was a career that was in high demand at the time. His father found a good job in Kuwait, so he relocated the family there. Dr. Saad spent the remaining years of his childhood deciding what career he wanted to pursue. At first, he wanted to become an engineer like his brother but later decided that working out in the heat all day was not something he was willing to do. That is when he made the decision to become a pediatric surgeon. Once Dr. Saad graduated from high school he attended Cairo University Medical School. He graduated second in his class. Then he came to the United States to become board-certified. Little did he know that this achievement would open the door to the opportunity of a lifetime.30
Once Dr. Saad became board certified, he received an invitation to serve as the pediatric surgeon for the Royal family in Saudi Arabia. He was the only surgeon at that time that was fluent in Arabic and English. Before making a final decision, Dr. Saad spent a month there. He recalls feeling safe and able to communicate effectively with the people there. He accepted the opportunity and moved his family there. During his five year tenure there, Dr. Saad was the go-to surgeon for simple and complex operations. He was able to help children that were less fortunate as well. One story to remember is the baby who suffered an aneurysm. It is not common for a baby to suffer an aneurysm, nor had Dr. Saad performed the procedure on a baby before. However, he saved the baby’s life and persuaded the world to include the details of the procedure in a scientific journal. That is one reason that Dr. Saad is well respected. He is always trying to make a difference by educating and motivating others to succeed. Learn more: https://about.me/ssaad/getstarted
